This is a trailer to a film I own.

Before watching this the only Japanese animated films I liked were Studio Ghibli films, so I have Metropolis to thank for broadening my view.

I like this film (which is based off another film) because it questions humanity and the meaning of love. This is something all these films I recently blogged have in common.

Watch this!

Seriously watch this!

Here’s a little animation I watched years ago.

I remembered it when trying to find some serious moving animations.

Sachin Teng

You know when you see someones work and it makes you die inside and want to go on a murderous rampage? Well this is one of those guys.

Beware friends. Beware.

Eduardo Medeiros

I found this illustrator whilst perusing the internet for shinies and cookies. I hope you love him as much as I do!

I don’t speak Spanish so I have no idea what they’re saying, but hey, I barely understand hoomin anyway.

After looking at all those viral videos today I found this on youtube!

Hehe I wish I had that vending machine..

Influence No. 10: Manga!

Reading manga is my biggest hobby. I mainly read adventure ones, with a lively plot and well thought out characters.

My dream is to make my own manga, and over the years this has helped me develop a style and method of design that has influence on everything I make.

Influence No. 9: Childrens Cartoons!

Since Pokemon I never stopped watching Cartoons. Nowadays all I watch is Spongebob Squarepants (Not the new deteriorating episodes,) Chowder, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Spliced, The Regular Show and Adventure time!

I’ll grow up one day.

Influence No. 8: Modern Art!
This is a negative influence by the way. I simply don’t like it.
Some modern art is pretty good though (If I don’t say this my mom will disown me for she works for the arts council.)
But some of it is like… wha?
My old tutor once showed me his favourite piece of Graphic Design. It. Was. A. Blob. Why do people like that?!

Influence No. 7: Studio Ghibli!

Every film they make is a master piece. They are beautiful, heart warming, and they move you more then you would think an animated film could. I almost have the complete collection… just a few… more… to go.

Epic.
